As consumers of news, we are constantly bombarded with information from a seemingly unlimited number of sources in print, broadcast, and online. Which medium delivers information in the clearest way and why do you think that’s the case?
In my opinion, the medium that delivers information the clearest way is easily via broadcast. Specifically, whenever important information is discussed, whether regarding current events, lifestyle advice, or celebrity/non-celebrity interviews, I find that talk shows and news programs do the best in accurately delivering and guiding viewers to what they know is the right choices, thought-processes and opinions to make/take. The reason for so is because I often find that articles both in print and online, despite being easily accessible today on smartphones and tablets in the latter case, are still eschewed in favor of watching the news.
I think a lot of it has to do with the engaging presentation of such news on screen (with the presentation sometimes being interactive or in many cases, visually persuasive). An example I can give that illustrates visual persuasion is World News Tonight where oftentimes studies on everyday life choices are backed up by statistics and/or live demonstrations and coverage of what has been done or needs to be done to persuade viewers at home to reconsider their lifestyle.
